چکیده
Aim. To analyse the levels of serum beta-human chorionic gonadotropin (β-hCG) and pregnancy-associated plasma protein A (PAPP-A) in pregnant women without fetal chromosomal abnormalities with trisomy 21 (Down syndrome) or 18 (Edwards syndrome). Materials Methods. We performed a retrospective analysis biochemical parameters 1214 who had previously undergone karyotyping as part prenatal postnatal screening. Patients were stratified into those normal karyotype, carrying fetus 21, 18. Levels β-hCG PAPP-A estimated using AutoDELFIA automatic immunoassay system. Results. In most has been increased compared to reference range. contrast, generally reduced β-hCG. both cases, level decreased comparison The proportion 2-fold was 52.4% 88.6% if fetuses 18, respectively. Conclusion. Serum b -hCG b-hCG are sensitive markers women.
